Hace ya varios días que no escribo. El tiempo vuela y quiero aprovechar hasta el último instante de esta estadía por Bojes. Me cuesta trabajo sentarme enfrente de la computadora a escribir. Quisiera que los días tuvieran cuarenta y ocho horas en vez de veinticuatro. ¡Hay tanto que hacer, que ver, tanta gente con quien hablar, con quien salir a caminar por la tarde. Hay tantas comidas que quiero aprender a hacer. Casi todos los días me siento con alguna de mis amigas a que me den recetas de cocina. Todas me sacan libros de cocina, las recetas de la abuela…¡ el tiempo vuela y no alcanza!

El sábado pasado Censi nos invitó a todos a comer a su casa. Hizo un delicioso cocido de verduras (alubias con berzas y papas) y unas pechugas de pollo al queso cabrales. De postre una quesada. Todo muy rico, pero sobre todo la compañía, la plática…¡Como los voy a extrañar a todos!

El domingo invitamos a todos a comer a la casa. Nos reunimos como 15 gentes. Hice sopa de fideos con azafrán y bacalao fresco a la sidra. Quedo bueno, pero las papas no se cocieron parejas, así que algunas quedaron crudas…¡Siempre pasa…cuando quieres quedar bien! Amparín hizo una empanada de bonito que estaba rica. De postre hice pay de manzana y Censi trajo una tarta de queso muy buena. La pasamos muy bien, tomamos vino, hablamos, nos reímos mucho y rematamos saliendo a dar un paseo largo todos juntos (bueno casi todos).

Ayer estuvimos todo el día en Bojes, Carlos dándole duro a la pieza que esta terminando. Quiere que este lista para el próximo lunes, que es el día en que llegan Dee y su madre. Dee es la dueña de la casa en donde hemos estado viviendo. Hace un par de semana nos llamaron ( ella y Andrés, su esposo) para invitarnos a que nos quedáramos unos días más ya que ellos venían a principios de Noviembre y quieren conocernos. Así aquí estaremos hasta el día cinco. Andrés llega el día tres. Supongo que el cuatro haremos alguna comida todos juntos ¡tenemos ganas de conocerlos!

Ayer por la tarde estuve empezando a empacar. Como hemos tenido la casa entera para los dos solos tenemos cosas en todos los cuartos. Así que tengo que desocupar para que lleguen “las visitas”.

Hoy en un ratito nos vamos a Santander a comer con María José y Cundo. María José es una de las hijas de Amparín y Cundo su pareja. Va a ser divertido conocer la ciudad con ellos. Ya platicaré al respecto mañana.

It’ been a while since I last wrote. Time flies and I want to take advantage of every second of our stay in Bojes. I is difficult for me to sit down in front of the computer to write. I wish the days had forty eight hours instead of twenty four. There are so many things to do, to see, so many people to talk to, to stroll with every afternoon. There are so many dishes I would like to learn how to cook. Every day I seat with one of my friends here and write down cooking recipes. They show mw their cooking books, … time flies and it is never enough!

Last Saturday Censi invited us for lunch. She made a delicious “cocido de verduras” (faba beans with potatoes and cabbage) and chicken with “Cabrales” (blue cheeses) sauce. And for dessert she prepared a cheeses cake (pretty different from the American cheeses cakes thou). Every thing was very good, but the best was the company, the conversation…I will miss all of them terribly!

On Sunday we invited everybody for lunch. We were around fifteen sitting at the table. I made pasta soup with saffron and fresh cod with sidra. It was good except the potatoes were raw!!!!.... Always happens…when you want to do your best!!! Amparín made a Bonito cake…very good. And for dessert I made apple pay and Censi a cheeses flan. We had a very good time, dank some wine, talk a lot, laugh a lot and at the end went for a nice, long stroll.

Yesterday we stay in Bojes all day. Carlos work really hard in the piece he is writing. He want to finish it before Dee (the owner of this house) and her mother arrive here Monday afternoon. Dee and Andy )her husband) called us a couple of weeks ago asking us to stay few more day in order to meet each other. For this reason we will be here until the fifth. By the way, Andy arrives Tuesday. I guess we will have a nice dinner together. We are looking forward to meet them!!!

Yesterday afternoon I did start packing. Since we have had the house all for ourselves we have things in almost every room. We have to clean up before the “gests” arrive!

I a little bit we are going to Santander to spend the day with María José (Amparin’s older daughter) and Cundo, her partner. It will be fun to get to know the city with them. I will tell how it was soon.
